I went out yesterday afternoon and it was fantastic! Perfect wind direction and a fun 22 miles, esp for november.

The fact that I neither read nor understand the language of Panama is but one of the reasons I will not be participating. (That, and money..vacation.. and training for a race in January)

Sorry, worked until 2:30, but went out at 3 pm though. The 55 degree temp was nice for the 21st of November but the 20 mph and gusty wind was, well, more like normal.
Anyone else go out today?

Que tal amigos How's it going friends
El Club de Ciclismo de Montaña Rali-Panamá de Chiriquí los invita al Gran
Evento de Ciclismo de Montaña PANAMA OFF ROAD 2010, dedicado al Lic. EDWIN
PITTY, ejecutivo de la empresa RALI y forjador y pionero del Ciclismo de
Montaña en Panamá. En este evento estará en disputa la COPA RALI en 6
diferentes Categorias.
1. Cat. Elite (semi pros)
2. Cat. Damas (women)
3. Cat. Master A-B-C (vetrans 20-30,30-40,50 and up)
4. Cat. Open Sport Nacional
5. Cat. Recreativa (Recreational)
El evento será tanto COMPETITIVO Y RECREATIVO y se estará realizando los
dias 29-30 y 31 de enero del 2010. Este evento consta de 3 etapas de en un 80% dirt & gravel the rest paved
80 % en caminos de tierra y piedra y un 20 % es de pavimento. El evento se
realizará en David Chiriquí , ciudad que esta a 50 km de la frontera con
Costa Rica, siendo las etapas las siguientes:
1. Crown Casinos........65 km
2. Municipio de Bugaba-Volcan......55 km
3. Rali Rst. Beningans..............60 km
expect hilly terrain
Todas las etapas tienen premiacion en efectivo. Y se estará disputando un
solo premio de montaña en la seguna etapa ( VOLCAN BARU)que se premiará en
efectivo.
La inscripción es de 60 dolares cada ciclista y tiene derecho :
1. Inscripcion de tres dias de evento
2. T-shirt conmemorativo al evento
3. Abastecimiento en 2 puntos en cada competencia
4. Medalla para los finalistas
5. Gatorade en 3 dias del evento
6. Servicio de cruz roja y ambulancia
7. Cd de Fotos del Evento
8. Cena de Pastas en Congresillo Técnico
9. Cena de Clausura
9. Seguro por accidentes

Master A B C y Sport Nac.es de 300 dolares ($300 veterans)
Damas 150 dolares (women)
Cat. Recreativa
Para esta categoria la inscripción es de 30 dolares e incluye todo lo de las
demás categorias pero no opta a la premiación.
ILos recorridos son los mismo que las categorias competitivas, y van a ser
escoltados y ayudadoos por personal exclusivo para los recreativos.

How is early afternoon? The high today is only 54 degrees with the wind 10-20 out of the southish.

An hour and a half + depending on how I feel. I got the flu right before Florida. Spent 5 days sick in a motel room. I've never had to withdraw from a race before, let alone the World Championships. What was worse, women that I beat in Australia made the podium. Ugh! Makes me hungry to kick some butt next year. Just goes to show, no matter how well we prepare, some things are just out of our control.
